Here’s the lowdown on what to expect from Drimsynie Estate, Scotland’s brand new and exciting lochside venue…
What’s more Scottish than getting married lochside in the Highlands? Not much, we’d hazard a guess.
Nestled in a secluded spot amongst the Arrochar Alps, facing out towards the sea loch, Drimsynie Estate boasts a pretty spectacular location in the heart of Scotland’s rugged, beautiful landscape.
But while the views at Drimsynie wouldn’t look out of place in Outlander, this is a wedding venue that’s straight out of the 21st century.
Gorgeous inside and out
Following a £5million investment in the estate, Drimsynie opened the doors to its stylish new venue and facilities in March 2018.
The recent development well and truly takes advantage of the estate’s idyllic location, adding a glass-fronted restaurant that enjoys panoramic views out over Loch Goil.
All of the hotel rooms have been modernised and there’s now a state-of-the-art spa and gym, so you can relax and get ready in luxury for your big day!
Spoilt for choice
The complex offers three different function rooms to suit a range of wedding sizes and styles.
Whether you’re going for an intimate gathering with your nearest and dearest or a mini wed-fest with all your friends and extended family, you’ll find an option that works for you.
So what about the numbers? Drimsynie Estate can accommodate 110 guests for dinner and can comfortably host up to 200 evening reception guests!
When it comes to actually tying the knot, you’re also spoilt for choice with a dedicated ceremony room, landscaped grounds and a picturesque local church overlooking the banks of the loch on offer.
No matter where you choose to get married at Drimsynie Estate, the views and surroundings will provide a dramatic, beautiful backdrop to your wedding photos!
Let’s face it, with groups of different sizes and their varying budgets to bear in mind, sorting out potential accommodation for guests can sometimes prove an awkward task.
Luckily it’s not a problem you’ll have to deal with at Drimsynie Estate which can sleep up to 400 people.
With hotel bedrooms, premium hot tub lodges, five-star caravans and a range of self-catering properties available, your guests will find lots of different options at different prices to choose from.
And the best thing is, they’re all within walking distance of the wedding venue – no taxis or buses necessary!
As for you and your other half, you’ll get to live in the lap of luxury at the Honeymoon Lodge which has a private hot tub and incredible views to make your first night as a married couple extra special.
Ready to say I do?
As Drimsynie Estate has only recently launched its venue, it’s in a very unique position of still having dates available for lochside weddings in 2018. Which means it’s not too late for you to get married this year!
