Romantic bridal fashion photoshoot at luxurious Borthwick Castle
Borthwick Castle is one of Scotland’s most majestic and historic wedding venues. Built in 1430, it’s played host to many a famous guest over the years “ including Mary Queen of Scots!
In spite of its age, the castle is looking spectacular thanks to a refurb in 2013 which saw all of its facilities being upgraded. It now has a biomass heating centre and lavish furnishings, making it an ideal wedding venue for couples who like the idea of getting married in a place that has character without having to compromise on any mod-cons (fun fact: it’s where boutique owner Naydene got married when she tied the knot in 2003!).
As you’ll see from the photos, it was the perfect setting to showcase the new Demetrios wedding dresses that have arrived at Sophia Grace Couture.
The Haddington-based wedding dress shop recently became the exclusive Demetrios stockist for the east coast of Scotland, and we reckon Scottish brides will love this collection of glamorous wedding gowns.
