Spring styled shoot with Lisa Hague at Crossbasket Castle, Glasgow

We do love a spring wedding with plenty of bright blooms and simply stunning dresses. Florist Karen from Posies and Pots talks us through her recent style shoot collab at Crossbasket Castle.

THE VENUE

Providing the perfect setting, Crossbasket Castle is situated just outside Glasgow and is a real fairytale venue.

“We wanted to use Crossbaskets due to its luxurious surroundings, it really is a unique venue”.

The castle’s Events Manager Manager, Vicki McQuillan was on hand to make the shoot a real dream day.

THE DRESSES

Spring bridal trends are always so fresh after winter months and this shoot celebrated the new season glam.

“Lesley Bell from David’s Bridal kindly arranged three styles of dresses from their latest range available in store.”

THE FLOWERS

Of course, with Karen arranging the photoshoot, the flowers would be a-mazing.

“The florist’s job was to decorate the backdrop to highlight the interior of the building. This was created by using the latest floral trends in greenery with a splash of pink from the Gloriosa Lillies.”

THE MODEL

Showing off the spectacular gowns is arguably the most fun part of a bridal shoot – hello, princess vibes!

“Our wonderful model and bride to be Lisa Hague, engaged to footballer Kris Commons, looked stunning in the dresses.”

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Capturing it all was photographer Jon Ramsden.

“It was essential that the photographs would reflect this and give brides an example of how their big day could look at this venue.”
