If you’ve got your heart set on a rustic wedding then you’ll likely be on the lookout for a venue that suits the relaxed vibe you’d like your day to have. We’re fortunate to have a range of incredible blank canvas and barn venues in Scotland, and there’s a brand new one you need to add to your list: Rosebery Steading.
Part of the luxurious Rosebery Venues group, Rosebery Steading is a 200-year-old steading and barn conversion situated just 30 minutes from Edinburgh in Gorebridge.
This design-led space offers two expansive barns for your wedding celebrations – The Threshing Barn and The Hayloft Barn – with room to entertain up to 100 guests. A special touch is the enclosed central courtyard with a clock tower; the perfect outdoor breakaway area for a drinks reception.
In fact, you’ll find lots of charming original features here, including the historic steeple and listed dovecot.
Great care has been taken to renovate the farm in such a way that you get a sense of its past without being stuck in it. Innovative sound systems, state-of-the-art lighting and contemporary fixtures combine with antiques and artefacts for a unique blend of old and new.
It’s sometimes the case that a barn wedding venue doesn’t offer accommodation, but not so here.
A collection of historic two-, three- and four-bedroom properties can sleep up to 28 people, so your closest friends and family can stay over.
You’ll also have the option to hire nearby Rosebery House, either alongside the steading or on its own.
The holiday home of Lord Dalmeny, this exclusive-use country mansion boasts extensive grounds and its own private chapel seating 100.
Pre-bookings are being taken for Rosebery Steading now.
