Rachel visited Dalmeny Park House Hotel in February 2018.
SWD’s Rachel checks in for a peaceful stay at Dalmeny Park House Hotel, a traditional venue on the outskirts of Glasgow.
My favourite venues are the ones that surprise you; the hidden gems that make themselves known only when you arrive and see their beauty for yourself.
Dalmeny Park House Hotel is just that, with its tree-lined sweeping drive welcoming you into a peaceful retreat.
Located on the outskirts of Barrhead, just a few miles from Glasgow International Airport and Glasgow city centre, Dalmeny Park has the feel of a countryside wedding venue, but with the convenience of being close to civilisation.
The hotel itself is an impeccable Scottish mansion, with plenty of traditional elegance shining through. It’s not just the beauty of the building which will make you fall in love with it, however.
It’s the warmth of the staff that really makes Dalmeny Park, with every member of the team going above and beyond to assist in every aspect of your stay.
Their passion and love for the hotel is clear and they truly care about each and every wedding day.
Staying in the Kintyre Suite, I could easily imagine the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in the spacious room.
I loved that it also looked out to the entrance of the Roseberry Ballroom and Bar, as well as the pretty patio area, allowing the excited bride-to-be to see her nearest and dearest arrive ahead of the I Do’s. Perfect for those looking for a big day with a traditional feel, the venue can comfortably cater up to 200 guests for your wedding celebrations, with plenty of accommodation available for up to 42 of your loved ones to stay over, relax and make a short break of the festivities.
Dalmeny Park’s Roseberry Suite is also getting a gorgeous makeover, with the refurbishment due to be completed early in 2019.
As someone who loves their food, I couldn’t not mention the culinary delights of Dalmeny Park.
The care and presentation of each dish I tried was second to none, something I’m sure that you and your guests will love come the wedding breakfast. I’m still dreaming of the cooked-to-perfection fillet steak!
Nestled in several acres of magnificent gardens and grounds, one of the most enchanting aspects of this venue is the Secret Garden, an impeccable setting for an outdoor wedding, and the perfect place for your very own fairy tale.
