Spring and summer might seem like ages ago, but this bright and sunny wedding is taking us back!
Full of glorious pastels in peach and blue hues, David + Ruth’s big day is a tonic for our chilly souls, captured beautifully by Kristen at Struve Photography.

We met through friends while playing Laser Quest. The first thing I noticed about David was his smile. David proposed at the waterfall in Rouken Glen Park during the Electric Glen light show.
We fell in love with Killearn Village Hall as soon as we visited; we loved the building and its view across the countryside to Loch Lomond.
I walked down the aisle to Let’s Get Married by the Proclaimers, something a bit different and fun!
We walked out to All You Need Is Love by The Beatles in true Love Actually style–plus, David is a die-hard Beatles fan.
There was a lot of paper pom pom making and spray painting. My uncle made our card box and name bunting for the top table and one of the bridesmaids also designed the seating plan.
We also decided to go fora minimal and fun favour and had mini beer soaps and mini candles, which we put in individual gift bags and stamped with our custom wedding stamp we bought online.
It was difficult to select the menu due to everything being tasty! The food was served on sharing platters as we wanted the atmosphere to be less formal and very relaxed.
Our first dance was Dead Against Smoking by Admiral Fallow, our favourite Glasgow band who we have seen live several times.
Then we had a ceilidh band with a small disco section in the middle. Everyone was having a ball!
