Each week we’re asking a different Scottish make-up artist to let us in on the one hero beauty product that’s always in their kit.
This week it’s the turn of Annie Voigt Makeup. Here’s what she says:
HOW DID YOU BECOME A MAKE-UP ARTIST?
“I got into make-up artistry from when I was working as a model. It was so amazing to watch a transformation happen. To become a character from just make-up, hair and clothes.
“I loved the confidence and boost it gave me and wanted to be able to share that feeling with other women and girls. I trained at The Academy of Make-up.
“I have been working as a make-up artist for six years and have been doing bridal for about five years. I pretty much got straight into it from being trained.”
WHAT’S YOUR HERO BEAUTY PRODUCT?
“It has to be Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. It’s so much more than a concealer!!
“I think anyone can use this product. It’s a must-have in my kit. Just pick your shade and you will have flawless looking skin on your wedding day.”
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR APPLYING?
“For best results I use a brush and use both shades out of the palette (that way it looks more skin-like). I warm it up on the back of my hand and then apply onto the face.
“It’s great for high coverage, especially for any red pigmentation like rosea or acne. Dab the product on, don’t work it too much into the skin. For blemishes, use a small eyeliner brush to pinpoint the area.
“For a softer finish work a little moisturiser with it, or an eye cream for under the eyes.”
