Couple Nicola and Greg know that less is more. When it came to planning their wedding day, they wanted it to be clean, simple – and glamorous!
Going for cool neutral tones, the couple pulled off a gorgeously elegant wedding day at Ingliston Country Club and Hotel, a venue that was very special to them as a couple.
Captured beautifully by Nicola’s bridesmaid Katie at KK Snaps, read all about the couple’s wedding day in the bride’s own words…
When planning our wedding, we wanted to have a very classic look when it came to the decor, with ivory and champagne being our main colours.
We scattered ivory roses and petals down the aisle so there was a romantic tone set right away for our magical day.
Ingliston Country Club is simply stunning and we always knew that is where we wanted to have our big day.
Ingliston is known for having lots of horses on site, and I personally love to seem them every time we visit!
We also go to Ingliston a lot for dinner and we always found the space beautiful and the staff so accommodating. Not only that, but we hope to buy a house and settle in the area too!
Our full day was perfect, but I have to say seeing each other for the first time at the bottom of the aisle after all the time and planning we put into our day was my highlight.
It was the part of the day that mattered most and it was a moment I will never forget in all my life.
Also at the ceremony, our good friend Heather who is a school teacher read a poem she wrote for us and everyone loved it. It was so thoughtful, described us well and was really pretty funny!
One of my bridesmaid Katie runs wedding photography company KK Snaps and they looked after us on our wedding day.
Our wedding photos are fabulous and beautiful, and one thing I would definitely recommend to other brides is to invest in your wedding photographer, because it’s the one thing you get to keep from the day!
