With the festive season in full swing, we experience some of the ways to enjoy Glasgow with your OH, family and friends!
1. Fun + games
You’re never too old for a trip to the Christmas markets and this year, Glasgow Loves Christmas have really upped their game with lots of fun and games to enjoy.
Head to the George Square markets (there’s another market at St Enoch Square, too!) and take a romantic ride on the big wheel, with gorgeous views of the city, or twirl away on the traditional carousel.
George Square has also been the proposal spot for some Christmas proposals over the years, so you might even see the start of someone else’s wedding story!
2. Festive drinks + live music
Before you leave the markets, don’t forget to stop by the festive bar for a mulled wine or Baileys hot chocolate. This year, the George Square market also has live music every night, performing all your Christmas favourites.
What better way is there to get into the festive spirit?!
3. Catch a Christmas film
The newly opened Everyman cinema in Princes Square is a must any time of the year, but it’s especially magical right now, especially with Princes Square decorated so gorgeously for the festivities.
The boutique theatre is embracing Christmas and is showing some festive flicks, perfect for a wintery date night. You can search all of their films showing here.
4. Go + see Santa
One to do with the kids, make going to see Santa a magical experience to remember.
The iconic House of Fraser Glasgow store has it’s very own Santa visit every Saturday in December before Christmas, including Santa Stories, a festive picnic and a special gift bag – so cute!
Spaces are limited, but you can call the store on 0141 4714509 to book.
5. Shop under the twinkling lights
Is there any better way to Christmas shop than under a sea of twinkling lights? Nope! From John Lewis to House of Fraser, there’s so many pretty spots to get shopping with your besties or OH.
Make sure to pop past HOF’s Mac Cosmetics for some big day beauty inspo too!
