Boasting stunning views over the Cheviot hills and surrounding farmland, Runningburn is full of charming nooks and crannies that lend themselves to seriously stunning wedding photos.

First off, there’s a picturesque fishing pond with a jetty for some romantic post-ceremony shots (plus it’s a little out of the way, so provides the perfect excuse for you both to take a little breather away from the hustle and bustle of your wedding party!).

Next up, if you fancy doing something a little more quirky and unique with your photos, are some rustic farm buildings. You and your photographer will have free rein to explore these and come up with some more adventurous shots!

And there’s also all the surrounding fields, which you definitely shouldn’t ignore!

Filled with billowing wheat and barley during the summer months, they’re great for adding a little natural beauty and drama to your wedding pics.

A flexible venue

The venue itself also offers up lots of choice!

Exchange vows on the Champagne Lawn or in the marquee, or say ‘I do’ at a local church before descending on Runningburn to celebrate afterwards.

As it’s a marquee, there’s plenty of scope to create the wedding style you and your partner want – with the help of Runningburn’s fab team, of course!

From a full-size carousel and dodgems to having all the guests arrive in a double decker London bus, they’ve helped bring a huge array of wedding themes to life, so the possibilities really are endless!

That flexible approach to the set-up also carries over to the catering.

Runningburn provide an all-inclusive package option using their own excellent caterer, or you can choose to arrange your own catering (be that a traditional sit down meal or a gourmet pizza van!).

For example, with permanent loo facilities and excellent disabled and baby changing facilities, there’s none of the traditional marquee issues to worry about!

The location is also pretty convenient, despite the stunning countryside views!

The quaint cobbled market town of Kelso is just three miles away, and you’ll find plenty of accommodation for guests – in the form self-catering cottages, hotels and guest houses – within minutes of the marquee!

Runningburn also offers a generous capacity (up to 200 seated and up to 250 by evening), so you can be flexible with your guest list.
