We held our wedding reception at the Royal Scots Club in October 2016 and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The events organiser Ayesha is great and we met with her regularly to go over all the fine details to make our day run smoothly. We used the Members Library for our drinks reception, the Hepburn suite for our wedding breakfast and then our evening reception in the Princess Royal suite. It was great to use the three different areas for each part of our day and meant there was no waiting around and our guests could move on easily to the next room. We were also able to use the private Queen St Gardens to.l get our wedding photos take which was a beautiful setting.

We had a fantastic wedding, and all of our guests had a great time thanks to the fantastic venue and the lovely staff. The manager on the day, Lauren, was amazing and really made us feel relaxed about everything and the day ran perfectly.

We also stayed in the hotel and stayed in one of the stunning four-poster bedrooms and some of our family also stayed and we had our breakfast all together in a private area the next morning which was really special.

It was the perfect venue for our wedding day and I will never forget it.

We held our wedding reception at the Royal Scots Club, and it was fantastic! Ayesha was just brilliant. Living hundreds of miles away meant planning our Edinburgh wedding from the south of England could have been quite tricky, but Ayesha kept in contact regularly with us both, promptly replying to emails, and she was always willing to fit us in at short notice whenever we were visiting Edinburgh.
The staff on the day of the wedding were great, so friendly and accommodating, and the day ran very smoothly. Our guests all commented on how delicious the food was and all had a great time.
Thank you to all at the RSC (especially Ayesha) for making our day such a memorable one.

We held our wedding breakfast and reception @RoyalScotsClub in April and couldn’t have asked for better service. Ayesha and all the staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful from our very first visit and gave us and our guests a wonderful day. It’s a beautiful venue with so many great photo opportunities and comfy reception space. The food was absolutely delicious and has been complimented by lots of our guests. The day ran like clockwork and we can’t thank them enough! Andrew and Rachael

Our wedding at The Royal Scotts club went off without a hitch. The staff were patient with our requests and we, as a couple, have no complaints from the day. Some guests gave feedback that some waiting staff were a bit quick in clearing drinks from tables for unknown reasons (taking away half full glasses of wine apperently) although we did not experience this on the top table. Our day had many activites integrated which all run a bit over time. We felt the staff were patient and accomodating wih this. Ayesha, the wedding planner, was outstanding and made us feel confident. The food was great despite having a really below par tasting. Really enjoyed it as did most of our guests. The venue could really do with investing in a better sound system. I understand there is noise limits but the equipment and sound quality I found to be really ropey.

We had our reception at the Royal Scots Club and it was amazing! The venue managed to be both impressive and incredibly welcoming to all our guests. One of the highlights is definitely having the use of Queen Street Gardens for photographs. It’s just wonderful to have wooded outdoor wedding photos despite literally being in the centre of Edinburgh. The rooms are very grand and look fantastic in photos. We made use of the Library bar for a drinks reception with canapes, then we were smoothly ushered to the wedding breakfast in the Hepburn Suite before the final move in the evening for dancing in the Princess Royal Suite. The food (the bits I managed to eat whilst running between groups of guests) was excellent. There’s such a great range between the meal packages, as well as varied vegetarian and child-friendly options. Because we had a separate room for dinner and dancing, it meant that the band that we had hired had plenty of time to set up prior to the guests arriving. The whole day was seamless.

For a few months prior to the wedding, we had regular meetings with Ayesha (wedding coordinator) to discuss what we wanted from the day. All the little details we had discussed were arranged on the day with no fuss by the RSC staff so there was no stress for myself or the bridesmaids. Many of our guests raved about how wonderful the staff were. I certainly found all the staff members I interacted with extremely friendly, accommodating and professional. The club members were similarly very welcoming.

My husband and I had a wonderful day, and can’t recommend the Royal Scots Club enough as a wedding venue!

What a delightful venue for a wedding the Royal Scots Club is. A little piece of Edinburgh history and tradition, it is beautifully modernised for all comforts and requirements. We enjoyed using different rooms for each part of the day from the cosiness of the wood panelled Library for the drinks reception to the striking Hepburn Suite for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and the spacious Princess Royal Suite for the evening ceilidh. Both families chose to get ready for the wedding at the Club and we have some beautiful photos taken against the stylish décor of the bedrooms and public rooms. Access to Queen Street Gardens gave us the opportunity for stunning outdoor photos.

As well as the setting, the staff at the Royal Scots Club made the day really special for us. Ayesha, the wedding co-ordinator, was just wonderful. Unfailingly friendly and welcoming, she helped us to plan the sort of day we all hoped it would be and was always there to answer the smallest of questions or to give practical advice. The day itself ran smoothly and seamlessly and we were left free to enjoy every moment with nothing left to chance. The food was excellent throughout – tasty canapes for the drinks reception, a delicious wedding breakfast and tempting trays of fruit and savoury snacks for the evening buffet. A large number of our party stayed at the Club for one, two or three nights and everyone spoke warmly of the lovely rooms, the great breakfast and the helpfulness of staff.

The Royal Scots Club offered a warm and intimate atmosphere for our daughter’s wedding and created for us all the happiest of days. It was also extremely good value for money. We are delighted to recommend it.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Royal Scots Club. Ayesha did a fantastic job at helping us plan it to military precision so come the day of the wedding there was nothing to worry about, everything went like clockwork. We stayed at the hotel for the three nights over the wedding weekend, and I have to say it is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in, despite there being another wedding there on the Sunday night, we both slept soundly. The four-poster room was large and was great for the morning of the wedding, with hair, make-up and dresses for me and the bridesmaids.

RSC really is a one-stop shop for your wedding, and you would be hard pushed to find better. The venue itself is beautiful. We were married in the Douglas Room, which is just beautiful. Drinks reception in the Library which again is just beautiful. Weather permitting, and it was for us, photos in Queen Street Gardens. Then wedding breakfast in the Hepburn Suite which is a fantastic room and looked stunning when laid out for dinner. Talking of dinner, the food was fantastic, thank you chef! Disco for the evening reception, again in the Hepburn Suite which was great as they roll back the carpet to reveal the dance floor.

And the staff were so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Laura, our duty manager on the day of the wedding did a fantastic job and made sure we were at the right place at the right time throughout the day and evening. Thank you again Ayesha, Laura and Lauren, and all other staff members who helped us celebrate our wedding and made it the best day possible.

We had our wedding and reception at the Royal Scots Club in October and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The events organiser Ayesha is the friendliest, nicest, most organised person you will ever meet.

We had a fantastic wedding, and all of our guests had a great time thanks to the fantastic venue and the lovely staff.

We also stayed in the hotel and stayed in one of the stunning four-poster bedrooms, which was great for the morning photos and big enough all of my bridesmaids getting ready.

We just had our wedding at the Royal Scots Club and it was absolutely perfect, exactly what we wanted. We worked with Ayesha Longley, the events coordinator, who was so helpful and extremely organised, which given that we were planning the wedding from England, made things much easier to organise. She also recommended some fantastic vendors all of whom were fantastic and whom I would highly recommend. The Royal Scots Club was brilliant at every stage – the planning process was so easy, and Ayesha guided us through everything we needed to do and decide. On the day, the food was fantastic (and one of the waiters even found me a little tray of hors d’oeurves when we came back from taking our photos). The two duty managers were very helpful and made the day run incredibly smoothly. I think the Royal Scots Club is a fantastic venue and I would absolutely recommend it, both for the venue itself (beautiful and with fantastic food) and for the staff (particularly Ayesha). Considering the amazing wedding we go, the price was very reasonable and I think is very good value for money. We would highly recommend the Royal Scots Club!

One of the best choices we made for our wedding was picking The Royal Scots Club! The events coordinator Ayesha Longley was fantastic at her job, the staff of the day of our wedding were attentive and were great with our guest. We both thought it was great that they put a Spanish member of staff on that day as some of our guest were Spanish and had little english. The food, it is indescribable, I can not put into words how delicious it tasted and how filling it was. I would just recommend going to have a meal in there! Also they were great with people that had dietary needs. The general staffing of the hotel were lovely and helpful at all time, during the arranging of the wedding, the week of and some days after, there was always someone to help us. We were paying for the wedding ourselves, we believe we got value for money, which I think everyone looks for when they are planning a wedding. We are so glad we booked The Royal Scots Club!

Couldn’t rate any higher – great value for money, absolutely fantastic day and no end of praise from our guests who all absolutely loved the place, the food, the wine and the day as a whole! Ayesha made the planning process so straight forward and easy – I had felt overwhelmed by it all in lead up to wedding day but absolutely loved it! A relaxed day thanks to fab staff who took care of everything without you even realising, perfect! The club members welcomed us warmly by chatting, taking photos and raising a glass with my husband&I. Thank you to all at RSC for making such a special day so enjoyable and memorable…for all the right reasons!
