Our daughter visited a number of venues in the Perth area when looking for the ideal setting for her wedding. Some had obvious drawbacks in terms of size, location, facilities and pricing. Some clearly considered themselves very special and more or less said, “We’re very grand, and you can pretend to be grand for a day even though we know you aren’t.” Fingask wasn’t like that at all and the contact we had with the event organisers was never anything less than welcoming, friendly, courteous, professional, helpful and reassuring. Queries, whether asked face-to-face or by email, were always answered promptly and comprehensively.

Fingask provide the fantastic venue with all the facilities required for a successful event, and they provide a list of suggested caterers for the provision of food. We chose Mairi Finlayson of Langraw Farm, near St. Andrews, for the wedding breakfast, and our expectations were well exceeded. In the evening, Highland Spit Roasts, from near Comrie, provided very tasty roast pork rolls for those who had worked up an appetite after some very energetic dancing.

The Big Day was perfect, even down to the weather! The castle and well-maintained gardens looked resplendent and offered boundless scope for interesting photo-opportunities. The relaxed atmosphere of Fingask was appreciated by all but, as the Mother and Father of the Bride, we were always reassured that if a problem had arisen, it would have been quickly and calmly dealt with. The staff were quick to react to any requests from our guests and everything went like clockwork. I don’t think there was a single person who wasn’t impressed by the venue and the service.

We can’t thank Jan, Renton and their team enough for helping to make our daughter’s wedding day perfect in every way. If I could, I would rate them 6 out of 5!

Fingask were fantastic throughout the planning and wedding day. Jan, the wedding co-ordinator, was excellent and very quick to respond to emails and answer any queries we had. In addition to being very accommodating and sourcing specific gin we had requested. Renton the on the day coordinator had everything set up in advance, is a unique “mc” and kept us right throughout. The venue is great and very authentic with views out to the Tay from the garden complete with some quality topiary. If the weather is not up to it the castle itself and the long room is lovely for having the ceremony.

The permanent marquee is beautiful with fairy lights at the Windows and light up trees. Our guests are still commenting on how amazing the venue was. The venue is a blank canvas to some extent and there is no problem with adding finishing touches.

We found Fingask excellent value for money, all the basics are included (tables, chairs, crockery, glasses, linen) so there is no need to worry about that. In addition, the bar is very reasonably priced which is important! In comparison to other venues we looked at it was by the best value for money for such a stunning venue.

Just returned home from my daughter’s wedding at Fingask Castle. We were able to rent all the accommodation available for the family and the big occasion was made even more enjoyable by being together over an entire weekend.
We simply cannot praise the Fingask “team” enough; the pre wedding dinner at the Castle was superb and the wedding day ran like clockwork. We were blessed with a crisp frosty November day which turned the beautiful Castle grounds into a stunning ice palace and the lights in the marquee twinkled enchantingly later in the evening. So many reviews have commented on the magical atmosphere of this place and we concur.
Thank you for all your hard work and making any worries and requests seem like trivia. Many of our guests stated that it was the best wedding they had ever attended-no praise is higher than that!

Really cannot say enough good things about our fantastic week’s stay and wedding at Fingask. What made the entire experience so special, was that virtually all of our wedding guests were able to travel up from England, and stay on site in the delightful surrounding cottages, the Boat House and Sir Stuart’s House. And, by all accounts, each one was brilliant.

The scenery of the entire estate is wonderful… Beyond description. It’s a perfect balance of pristinely maintained gardens and rough terrain – both of which can be explored with complete freedom – our three Labradors (who were made to feel very welcome) had an amazing week with us, and were entirely in their element swimming in lakes, running through woodland and venturing where they wished.

The staff at Fingask are fantastic, most notably, in that you are made to feel as though no request is too much. They are so accommodating, friendly and helpful, it really took away a huge amount of the stress, both on the day, and leading up to. So many of our guests have said how seemless the day was, and whilst some of this was our planning, the chilled out attitude and extremely helpful staff made each different element of the wedding seem effortless. We had absolutely no issues on the day. It ran brilliantly. Particular thanks to Jan who put up with every question and request we threw at her, and was so helpful, not only to us, but to all of our guests throughout their stay and on the wedding day.

I could go on raving about this place, none of us wanted to leave, the entire party had a glum look on check-out day, and we’ve all already been talking about when we can return to enjoy Sir Stuart’s House and the Boat House again. It really is a special place, and I can’t recommend more highly using Fingask as a wedding venue, or just visiting to enjoy everything else this wonderful place has to offer.

We were immediately taken with Fingask Castle as a wedding venue, and delighted to learn that the service from the staff was just as impressive as the building and its surroundings. No matter how trivial our questions got during the run-up to the wedding, they were always quick to clarify our queries. Even as they delivered a highly professional service, they reminded us with their enthusiasm that the day was to be enjoyed, not worried over – therefore every conversation with Jan, Renton and others made us more excited about the event. On the day things ran like clockwork, and we can’t thank all the staff at Fingask for a truly unique experience. Great venue, great service and great value for money!
