Country house wedding with a Pimp my Prosecco table at Rufflets St Andrews

A great venue can make a wedding, and Dayna and Jordan Paul struck gold with country house Rufflets in picturesque St Andrews.

They added lots of lovely personal touches to their day in November 2016, all set off beautifully by the tasteful decor of the hotel.

We were looking for a gorgeous, elegant and private venue that had a lovely traditional feel to it, and with the original country house and beautiful surroundings, Rufflets St Andrews has just that.

The venue is so stylish and unique with gorgeous interiors and fireplaces, and the setting itself is fabulous.

We decorated the venue ourselves with the help of my mum, my florist (Stucio and Waow), One of a Kind Stationery and Lovely Things Event Hire.

We went for a shabby chic, vintage theme for our day, and had little jam jars decorated with hessian and lace and filled with flowers. All of them were a bit different from each other, giving each table a unique touch.

I made a picture pallet with lots of photos of us from over the years and all of our special holidays, adventures and memories, as well as a chalk board with our love story written on it.

We also had a ‘Pimp my Prosecco’ table filled with fruit and liqueurs; a sparkler jar; and gold foil love letter balloons!

Our ceremony took place in the Duncan Room of the Garden Suite, and afterwards we had our Corona and Prosecco drinks reception in the lovely Long Gallery.

Our wedding breakfast was in the Garden Suite. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing!

The venue was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much for the staff, who were wonderful and made us feel so relaxed and at ease. They were really happy for us to add our own little touches to our day; they really couldn’t do enough for us.

Our wedding day was just magical – so much more than we could have ever imagined. Our band The Jets kept the dance floor busy and our fireworks display from 21CC was truly the perfect end to the most perfect day ever!
