No one was surprised when they saw bride Megan in an unconventional dress on her wedding day. “I studied fashion at university so style and individuality are very important to me,” explains Megan.
“I am terrible at keeping secrets so I found it really hard not to tell people what my dress was like once I had found it! But anyone who knew me remotely well was expecting me to wear something non-traditional.”
Originally planning on going for a top-and- skirt separates combo, Megan had a change of heart when she least expected it.
“I found my wedding dress in Kudos in Edinburgh while looking for a mother of the bride outfit with my mum,” recalls the bride, who chose a gorgeous floral Charlotte Balbier gown.
“I was instantly drawn to the pattern on the dress so I thought I would try it on for fun. The sample gown fitted me perfectly and I immediately knew that it was the one. Also, it had pockets, which sealed the deal for me!”
