Dress Stories is all about a bride’s relationship with her special wedding outfit, from searching for it to finding it, and how it made her feel on the day.
Kim loved the extra sass the deep V’s at the front and back gave this stunning number.
AND THE BRIDE WORE… the beautiful textured silk Sassi Holford ‘Verity’ ballgown, accessorised with Jimmy Choos.
How did you feel about wedding dress shopping?
I had no idea what style I was going for which made dress shopping challenging at the beginning.
Especially because I just loved them all!
I did a lot of research on Instagram and reading magazines but found that I really had to decide on the style of wedding I was going for too.
How was your shopping experience and who went with you?
My mum came to all the appointments but we also went with Andy’s mum, my auntie and one of the bridesmaids.
As two of them live in Dublin we ended up video calling during the fittings!
What was your dress like and why did you choose it?
I fell in love with the textured silk fabric as it was so luxurious and almost understated.
I loved the shape of the deep V at the front and back, just to add some sass to the more traditional look of the dress.
Obviously the pockets were an added bonus.
How did you accessorise your dress?
My shoes were Jimmy Choo and the only jewellery I wore were the earrings my bridesmaids got me as a gift.
They are by an Irish designer called Chupi who I love, and they are amazing.
My hairpiece was a vine from Etsy and the junior bridesmaid had a matching piece.
