Take a peek behind the scenes of our Autumn 2018 issue cover, featuring model and former Miss Scotland Ellie McKeating on her wedding day.
Former Miss Scotland, Ellie McKeating, married professional rugby player Richie Gray in the summer of 2018 – and we couldn’t resist making the bride our cover star.
Take a look at their gorgeous fairytale in France wedding day for yourself; simply stunning.
Ellie’s dreamy wedding dress is from world-renowned couture designer Galia Lahav’s Le Secret Royal collection, which (unsurprisingly!) was inspired by the royals.
Available at Edinburgh bridal boutique Kavelle Couture, we love the extravagant romanticism of the dramatic fishtail, the heavily beaded illusion back and the intricate straps.
Craig and Eva Sanders were the only photographers Ellie would consider for her wedding, so much so, they actually worked around dates that suited them all!
“I worked with Craig and Eva on my first ever bridal photoshoot almost 10 years ago and since then I’ve always had a huge appreciation for their work,” explains Ellie.
“They capture everything just as it should be; every emotion, every fine detail, every element that you really want to look back on fondly. On the day they felt like family – everyone loved them.”
Bride Ellie adores gypsophila which worked perfectly with the ethereal beauty of her venue and her soft, feminine decor, so she added it to her bouquet too!
As well as looking breathtakingly pretty, gypsophila is said to symbolise everlasting love and pureness, making it an ideal flower for weddings.
Ellie flew her fave hair and make-up team, Asteria Bridal, over to France for her wedding.
“I would describe Ellie’s wedding hair as modern and relaxed yet still glamorous,” explains hairstylist Pamela Docherty.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Peffer got to work creating Ellie’s flawless make-up look. “Taking the beautiful lighting in France into consideration, I went for soft golden tones on Ellie’s eyes using a Huda Beauty shadow palette,” describes Jen.
“We added some glamour with a classic flick of liner, individual lashes and MAC lipstick in Crème Cup.
