Top tips for grooms...
1. Don't give her 'stag night fear'
Although the bride will want you to have a lovely time on your stag do, try to have some consideration for her feelings. Of course she trusts you and hopefully trusts the people organising it too, but some women may get a little worried if they hear that you are planning on going to Amsterdam a week before the wedding and that your mates have already started making jokes about leaving you there! All she wants is for you to look and feel your best on the big day and not to be hungover, bruised or with one eyebrow in the wedding photos – so, stick to those rules and you should be OK.2. Get your outfit sorted straight away
It might sound like you're getting hassled when your bride-to-be asks you every few weeks whether you've arranged your kilt hire yet. But she's right to want to get this organised as soon as possible because it gives you more options in terms of the choice of tartans. So whether you're being fitted for a hired kilt or having one made just for you, why not make a day of it? Arrange to meet your best man, ushers and perhaps any dads too, get together early on a Saturday and then once you're all fitted out you can go to the pub. Not the worst idea in the world now is it?3. Surprise her!
Whether it's just before the wedding or on the day itself, most ladies will appreciate a wee surprise that lets her know you've been thinking of her. If you buy a gift and hand it over to the chief bridesmaid in advance then she'll be able to give it to her on the morning of the wedding. It doesn't have to be anything expensive and even a handwritten note telling her how much you're looking forward to marrying her would do the trick. But then again, jewellery is always a winner too!In need of more top tips for grooms? Get help
