Vicki Johnston (pictured left) is mum to Dylan, Charlotte and Lucy and got married in August 2002"I know a lot of people are against kids at weddings but as far as I'm concerned weddings are family occasions and the kiddiewinks make up an important part of the family. They get the dancing started, they wheedle money out of the old folk and they offer light entertainment. Taking them out when the speeches are on is a good idea though, especially if they're uber-long and boring.
We had a few kids at our wedding, including Lucy, our eldest, who was a flower girl. She was brilliant, refused to have any pics taken and took her tiara out 28 seconds after the ceremony!"
Lindsay McKerracher (pictured left) got married in September 2004"When we planned our wedding we had very few friends with children so it was a fairly easy decision not to have kids there. Those who did told us they would relish the chance to relax and party into the wee small hours. No one would have to leave early or be on baby-sitting duty. One couple told us they hadn't had a night together without the kids for years so it made for an even more special occasion for them and us.
We had the most amazing day and never once felt anything was missing. And we've never regretted it. Even without kids, we still had a bouncy castle. As a little girl it was one of the two 'must-have' things to make my dream wedding; the other thing was my pink wedding dress!"
