Wow your guests

Your guests will be talking about your wedding for years to come if you follow this guide...

Break the ice
Organise a few dinnertime ice-breakers to get the chat flowing as freely as the complimentary wine! Keep it simple with love or marriage themed pop quizzes; buy them online or, if you're feeling creative and organised, make them yourself. And don't forgot a prize!

Make the photos fun
Ask the photographer to capture each guests as they arrive at the ceremony then show the images using a projector during dinner. Or you could decorate the venue with pics of you and your beloved... Baby pictures, school photographs, hen and stag pictures and holiday snaps – the lot!

Surprise!
Thrill your guests with a surprise guest or two. How about getting people on their feet by inviting some flamenco teachers along? Or you could go for breakdancers instead, if the average age of your guest lists is fairly youthful.

Pick and Mix
Organise a candy buffet as a post-dinner treat for your guests. Or, if you don't have a sweet tooth then you could opt for a cigar bar, a vodka bar or a cheese bar – the choice is yours!

Let the games begin

Make sure your guests are kept entertained when you're having your couple portraits taken. If the weather is kind then outdoor games like Giant Jenga and Connect 4 can be great fun. Indoor pursuits will keep kids of all ages busy if you set up a games console... Wii Fit anyone?
