Often the toughest thing about dieting is getting started. But even that's getting easier now that there's a range of diet plans that deliver everything you need to eat direct to your door! We asked four brides-to-be to put the most popular regimes to the test. Here are their results...
Strawberry Milkshake
WEIGHT TO GO
What is it? An 850-calorie per day diet regime. There are three diet menu options available - a Standard Box, Vegetarian Box or Wheat Free Box.
What do you get? A week's supply of the Standard Box consists of seven low calorie meals, 21 shakes, seven soups and two energy bars.
How much does it cost? £244 for four weeks.
What did our bride-to-be think? "The food itself is good quality and the soups were surprisingly filling. The protein shakes were also really quite nice and the meals were varied and full of taste. The only problem for me was the portion size!"
Weight loss... 12 lbs

BODY CHEF
What is it? Six (soon to be seven) pre-prepared food plans are available, and you choose one depending on your weight loss goals and taste buds. If you don't like a dish or a certain ingredient, you can factor in up to four exclusions.
What do you get? Three calorie-controlled diet meals a day with additional fresh fruit and healthy snacks in between, depending on your calorie requirements.
How much does it cost? £93.98 per week
What did our bride-to-be think? "By the end of the 28 days I was getting slightly bored of the same sorts of foods. I might never eat fruit and jelly again! I did find it surprising in terms of the variety of food I could eat and still lose weight. Overall it's all about portion control for me, learning what quantities to eat and survive on without being hungry."
Weight loss... 10lbs

DIET CHEF
What is it? Diet Chef hampers are cooked by chefs and sealed in pouches, which will last for at least six months. The foods are low calorie rather than low carbohydrate or low fat. They don't contain artificial Pea & Ham Soupcolours, preservatives or flavourings, or trans fats, and can be microwaved.
What do you get? A hamper full of chef-prepared ready meals for dinner, soups for lunch, granola for breakfast and healthy snacks.
How much does it cost? £190 for 28 days.
What did our bride-to-be think? "I really enjoyed the variety as I tend to eat the same things due to lack of effort and it was great to get home and have such a selection of different things to have for dinner. I even took a Diet Chef meal to my friend's house. She did give me some stick for it but she stopped when she saw how nice the meal was."
Weight loss... 5 lbs

NOSH DETOX
What is it? A six-day juice fast with added detoxifying products. The Nosh juices are made from pulped organic fruit and vegetables with added spring water.
What do you get? Two litres of freshly prepared juices delivered each day (or the recipes/shopping list to make your own juices if you live outwith the delivery area) and a Detox Box.
How much does it cost? The Nosh Total Detox (Detox Box and Juice Fast) costs £255. The International Detox Box (excluding the fruit) costs £67 plus £5.50 delivery.
What did our bride-to-be think? "On day one I was feeling a bit low. I had a sore head pretty much all afternoon (probably caffeine withdrawal) and didn't think I'd get to the end of the week. But by day three I was starting to notice a bit of a difference - my skin was looking a bit brighter and my energy levels were up."
Weight loss... 6lbs
